  • Abstract
A major cause of deaths today is coronary diseases. Heart attack is one of the major reasons. One of the major reasons for these deaths in India is no early detection of heart attacks and lack of quick medical help. These deaths can be reduced if the symptoms of the attacks are diagnosed well before the stroke. The paper proposes a system called electrocardiogram telemetry which analyzes the ECG (electrocardiogram) signal from the person. The system has two parts, the ECG transmitter and the ECG receiver also called as base device. The transmitter takes the ECG signal as an input from the human body. The signal is then processed and transmitted. The second part is the base device, this device receives the transmitted ECG signal and is further processed. From the base device, the signal can be diagnosed to send alarming messages or it can be sent to hospital´s, ambulances etc.
