Abstract :
This paper presents a method based on particle swarm optimization and the lightning return-stroke current derivative, measured at the Toronto CN Tower, to estimate tall-structure return-stroke current parameters. The approach evaluates the primary lightning return-stroke current parameters as well as reflection coefficients at major structural discontinuities.
