Abstract
Introducing diversity into the workplace is both an important and beneficial step forward for our communities, corporations and for the individual adult trainees that are targeted as participants in internships, In a conservative corporate culture, this introduction needs to be well prepared as the concept may be met with resistance or as an upset to the status quo. When time is spent to determine in what departments interns might work; what their level of interaction with employees at all levels will be, and what some of the possible risks could be, if any, the communication of this proposal and its characteristics has a better chance of acceptance and moving towards implementation
