Abstract :
This paper outlines the latest updates of IEC TC65 Industrial Process Measurement, Control and Automation toward the realization of Low Carbon Society in future by focusing on Electrical Energy Efficiency (EEE) standardization. The Digital Factory concept with intelligent sensors, actuators, communication networks and information integration are the essential factors for future innovation related to Energy Efficiency in the Industrial process. The Japanese industry has several significant technologies for energy conservation in the industrial process applications and may be able to contribute the standardization of Energy Efficiency subjects for reducing the carbon footprint from the production process.
