Abstract :
A fully integrated heterodyne down-converter for 5-6 GHz wireless local area network applications is presented. The circuit realizes a high image signal rejection by means of a selective low noise amplifier with an integrated notch filter and a rejection active mixer. The main characteristics are an image-rejection greater than 55.7 dB at 1.1 GHz of intermediate frequency, a conversion power gain of 24.6 dB, an input linearity range up to -20 dBm, a power consumption of 158.6 mW at 3V power supply, and it does not require any external components.
