Abstract :
In this paper, the unstructured transmission line modelling (UTLM) method is applied to solve the canonical wire coupling problem by explicitly meshing wires. The nearend crosstalk of two single-core copper wires above a ground plane is evaluated using both UTLM method and experiment. The results obtained show very good agreement, which validates the viability of direct-wire modelling in the UTLM method.
