Abstract
Neuro-robotic systems can be used to study the ability to behave in a goal-oriented way in a natural situation. Here we applied this experimental paradigm for exploring the potential of populations of dissociated cultured neurons as model systems to investigate neural computation. Our results suggest that the induction of minimal morphological organization can improve the computational capabilities of the neuronal culture
