Abstract :
The performance evaluation model for CSMA/CD bus under heavy load is presented. Based on the definition of the critical point of heavy load and the description of difference between the average collision times of users and the system, a Markov transfer matrix of the system state is provided and the mathematical model which is suitable for evaluating the performance of CSMA/CD protocol under heavy load is established. After a comparison with the simulation results, an analytical approximation of the new method is presented and the results show that our model is close to the real system.<>
