Abstract :
This project introduces a steganographic approach to embed data on JPEG image bit stream in order to hide secret data. This method allows user to adjust embedded data bit-rate or image quality. The effect of embedding data to each specific bit of GSM Full Rate coefficients, on image quality is investigated and the less important bits are selected to embed secret data. Meanwhile for approaching a higher image quality, the data embedding positions are based on different significant bit types. In contrast to these methods, this project proposes a new method in order to hide secret data in encoded FR bit stream. In order to transmit the image through GSM network, Image should be compressed by the compression technique to reduce bit-rate. Then, resulted bit stream is transmitted over GSM network. At the receiver side, the received bit stream is directly fed into two units: the GSM FR decoder unit to reproduce image and the secret data extraction unit.
