Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. To solve the problem of forming intense shock waves in the frequency mode the authors have developed a plasma-wave system (PWS). We expect that the use of this system will enable obtaining shock waves of intensity more than 5 MPa under atmosphere conditions with an expenditure of electric energy no more than 50 J for forming one wave. The calculations have showed that in this system an attainable frequency of wave formation is more than 200 Hz. It will allow one to apply this method for direct initiation of a detonation in feebly detonating fuel-air mixtures, for example, a kerosene-air mixture. Unlike the available techniques, in the plasma-wave system intense shock waves are formed in the gas flow with realization of a spark charge in the region of an intermediary pressed gas.
