Abstract :
The software system for ABC-90jr., an array based computer with a state-of-the-art architecture is described. This includes the design of the programming language, the run-time software, the debugger and the software emulator for the machine. A way to expend MS-FORTRAN for mixed-language programming with low-level assembly language of the machine is introduced. A method to fully exploit the parallelism between the host and the attached processor is discussed. Examples illustrating the features of the hardware and software of ABC-90jr. are given.<>
