  • Abstract
Our exception handling approach uses enhancement knowledge in a class or instance definition instead of constructing a new subclass for the specific class. One direct associative link between normal and exceptional cases is built. The size of class hierarchy will shrink to the manageable range and the efficiency and rationality of reasoning will also increase. During reasoning period, the conditional trigger meta-knowledge mechanism can dynamically use the limited knowledge to induce or retract practical conclusions.<>
