            Abstract :
This paper deals with a new wireless bio-signal acquisition system for various usage including universal man-machine interfaces. The system mainly consists of two components, that is, “the Intelligent Electrode” and data acquisition host. The former is the key component of this system. It is not only a bio-signal electrode, but also an RF transceiver employing ZigBee technology. It can sample data at 1 kHz as well as transmit them in real time. In addition, the intelligent electrode can vary its own analog constants such as gain or cut-off frequency of filter on line by commands over the air. The basic performance tests are also shown in this paper.
