Abstract :
Analyses and summarizes how image-based guidance systems have been taking shape. Taking as an example the "Fighting Axe" cruise missile, which is presently the most advanced in the world, as a background, the author elaborates the intellectual principle behind image guidance. On the basis of a new guidance model, called "organisms", the visual guidance and the development of intellectualization are analysed. Meanwhile, the difficulties which are likely to occur are also revealed in this paper.<>
