Abstract :
We present a linguistic development environment for constructing and maintaining linguistic resources to identify specific semantic information among parts of text. Linguistic resources are described in terms of linguistic patterns and contextual exploration rules based on syntactic and semantic constraints. We have designed a text matching language that allows powerful operations to identify patterns by taking into account their textual context. In our model the contextual analysis of a lexical unit is not only restricted to the concepts of adjacency and concatenation, but includes also constraints based on containment, ordering and position conditions of textual units
