Abstract :
The design of an experimental electrical impedance tomography (EIT) system is presented. The aim of EIT is to reconstruct the internal resistance distribution of a test object (region). The project involves building a data acquisition system that applies current to the test object and measures the induced voltage responses on the boundary of that object. The measured responses are then processed using the back-projection image reconstruction algorithm to acquire an approximated image of the test object´s internal resistance distribution. The laboratory experimental results showed that recognizable images can be achieved on both open and closed boundary conditions.<>
