Abstract :
In order to study the dynamic characteristics of multi-machine coordinated virtual inertial control, it is necessary to develop a simplified model of wind turbine generator system(WTGS). This paper presents a general average model (GA model) of directly-driven wind turbine with permanent magnet synchronous generator (D-PMSG) which ignores the dynamic influence of converter switch. And a detailed implementation method of virtual inertia control using the GA model has been proposed. According to the results of simulation and experimental test, the proposed GA model of D-PMSG has the same dynamic characteristics with the detailed simulation model and significantly improves the simulation speed of the system, which lays the foundation for multi-machine coordinated virtual inertial control research.
