Abstract :
The pneumatic servo ball & plate system is a typical nonlinear system. A state observer is designed by using a simplified mathematical model of the system to observe the velocity of the ball, and a PD-fuzzy controller is designed to implement the real-time control of the system. Simulation results show that the PD-fuzzy control has better dynamic and static characteristics than that of the PID control, which shows the advantage of applying PD-fuzzy controller to nonlinear system.
