Prediction on the Future Passengers Touring the Three Gorges Dam Tourism Area

There are many reasons for the increasing amount of passengers who visited the Three Gorges Dam Tourism Area, so the study on the total passengers prediction in the future years is of great significance to society and economy. In this paper, the main reasons that the passengers visited the Three Gorges Dam Tourism Area during 2003~2006 was analyzed, and then linear, quadratic and logarithm regression models were used to predict the future development tendency of passengers in the tourism area, and the prediction would be important for tour companies to establishment corresponding policy of tourism and also for government to make a overall long-term plan of tourism.
