Abstract :
Network resources in terms of available bandwidth are not always sufficient to provide desired quality of service, especially for real-time traffic. Network performance parameters such as delay, jitter and packet loss are significant indicators of suitability of the path for this type of traffic. To provide QoS traffic engineering methods are used. In this paper we focus on traffic engineering in MPLS networks and the question of quality of service, since it is the main reason of deploying TE. We propose an online TE server to optimize the data flow in the network and maximize the utilization of the network resources. The proposed server was implemented and experimentally tested in laboratory environment. The results prove the efficiency and optimal resource utilization in the network provided by the proposed TE server.
