Abstract :
The structural component DeltaVst(roarr) of the Si(111)-vacuum-SiO2(100) system is calculated using the Green´s functions of the nonlocal Poisson equation. DeltaVst(roarr) is determined by the interaction interference of the microscopic structure of the two surface in the narrow vacuum gap. It is shown that the DeltaVst(roarr) in the case of small anode-to-cathode distance L (~ 0.3-2 nm) determines the lateral changing of the potential barrier height in the vacuum gap which results to the origin of ordered long-period lattice of the emission centers inside a superthin vacuum gap
