Abstract :
In this paper, the features of data are analysed and some design methods of information model are researched in the CIMS environment. A knowledge-based and object-oriented design methodology for the CIMS information model is introduced. It is based on the ideas of artificial intelligence and object-oriented paradigm. The requirement analysis is represented by the knowledge-based techniques and the information structure is represented by the object-oriented techniques in the conceptual schema of the information model.<>
