Abstract :
A new adaptive shortened Reed-Solomon (ASRS) coding for wireless ATM communication is proposed. The scheme enhances the existing variable shortened RS coding by adding a changeable generator polynomial to provide the needed redundancy, thus maximizing the system bandwidth efficiency and application flexibility
