Abstract :
Summary form only given. Field emission aging performance is studied. Thermal activation of emitting sites is observed during the aging test. The field emission character curves of screen print CNTs cathode pre and after an aging process is analyzed. It revealed a drop of the field enhance factor (beta) and an increase of effective emission area ratio (alpha). These results coincide well with the illuminating pattern observed in the experiment and indicate a passivation of emitting tips and a growth of the number of emission sites
