Abstract :
An intelligent design approach for the multivariable control system with interval parameters in the frequency domain is presented. The interval system is defined in the frequency domain. The expected specification is constrained by the upper bound and lower bound of the step response. The quantitative feedback technique (QFT) is used. Two expert systems SEPE and SLSE are employed with a user-friendly interface, which can offer more information to adapt the software to different kinds of user (expert or novice). The motivation for studying this type of intelligent design approach include many useful applications. As an applied example the compensator for fast following synchronization of a generator is designed.<>
