Abstract :
In service-oriented environments, runtime monitoring faces the challenge of diversity of monitoring requests. To flexibly instruct `what´ and `how´ to monitor at runtime from a third-party viewpoint, the paper proposes an extensible model for monitoring, which can adapt at runtime to monitoring requests and suitable monitoring approaches. Based on the monitoring model, we implement a third-party monitor VINCA-M which supports extendible definition of monitored information as well as multifold monitoring and feedback approaches. Our use case study shows the extensibility and adaptability of runtime monitoring provided by VINCA-M.
