Abstract :
This paper introduces a method of tolerance design based on orthogonal array method. By determining the center and radius of the maximum sphere inside an acceptable region, the optimal center values and tolerance assignment can be defined. The process of tolerance design is being simplified since it uses the orthogonal array optimization method. The paper gives two examples to illustrate that the design method is correct and feasible.<>
