Abstract

Using computer technologies to complement and support the collaborative learning has become one of the development trends of modern teaching and learning. Based on CSCL technologies, the paper researched on virtual classroom system that constructed with computer multiple media technology, network technology, communication technology and etc to provide networking teaching environment that is not restricted by time and geography for the teachers and students. The paper designed the hierarchical model of virtual classroom emphatically and constructed the architecture based on the model. In addition, the solutions for key problems of audio and video processing, co-browsing, collaborative learning and etc for the realization of virtual classroom were also provided.
