Abstract
In this paper, our aim is to replace the rolling bearings in an induction machine, by integrated magnetic bearings, there is many advantages using this kind of bearings: no more friction, then reduction of the friction and windage losses, higher running speed, improve lifetime etc,. However, the magnetic bearings need a complex electronic driver to be developed. Actually, those problems should be taken into account: reduce mechanical vibrations, compensate unbalances and shaft misalignments and fault control and detection.
