Abstract :
In this paper a simplified fuzzy modeling method for dynamical processes is proposed and analyzed on the example of a real process data from a esterification process in a chemical plant. The proposed simplified fuzzy modeling method uses an incremental type of cause-effect model. The dynamics of the process can be matched by tuning the scaling factor and/or by adjusting the shape of the specially introduced membership function. This function expresses in a fuzzy manner the degree of relationship between the past time changes of the inputs and the current output change. Any change in the shape of the membership function, based on some kind of preliminary information, leads to a respective change of the type of the simulated dynamics thus ensuring the wide applicability of the proposed method for real process simulation
