Abstract :
The new fire safety requirements of cable products for NPP are established in international and national standards of developed countries. This includes the requirements on fire resistance, smoke emission, resistance to the impact of corrosion-active and toxic products. In those standards fire safety of the cable is viewed in complexity not limiting to the one factor of combustion non-proliferation. Other significant and regulated factors are smoke emission of corrosion-active and toxic products as well as fire resistance for the most critical circuits, i.e. preserving cable functions being in the direct fire source within no less than 3 hours
