Information-Led Transformation of Regional Chinese Enterprises

[Summary form only given]. Regional enterprises in fast growth emerging markets such as China are increasingly leveraging advanced information technology to grow their business. As they expand these institutions are accelerating their IT modernization efforts to transform their business models, automate and re-engineer business processes, increase agility, efficiency and resiliency while mitigate risks under volatile market conditions. In this talk we review how service orientation, cloud computing, and other advanced information management solutions are helping these regional institutions in their transformation. Case studies drawn from a number of Chinese companies will be used to illustrate process re-engineering and optimization approaches, architecture best practices, lessons learned, and to shed lights on potential areas for future research and development.
