Abstract :
In this paper, Al substituted barium ferrite nanoparticles have been prepared by a wet chemical process and investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Mo/spl uml/ssbauer spectroscopy. The site occupancies, as determined Mo/spl uml/ssbauer spectra, have been used to interpret the changes in the magnetisation and in the coercivity.
