Abstract
This paper presents a unified framework including adaptive forgetting identification algorithms (AFIA) for time-varying systems. This helps in distinguishing between different algorithms and suggests ways in which algorithms might be improved. Through some transformation, this paper gives a complete convergence proof by Lyapunov stability theory in the situation that both exponential forgetting and directional forgetting factors exist.<>
