Abstract :
The cam contour error directly reflects the cam contour accuracy. Considering the deviation of cam grinding after speed optimization, contour compensation control is an effective way to achieve error minimization and improve contour accuracy. This paper first discusses the relationship between cam contour error and the velocity of cam rotating axis as well as grinding wheel feeding axis. Then in order to eliminate the contour error and enhance the contour accuracy of cam grinding, the focus of this paper is to be dedicated to studying the distribution method of cam contour error, and a new contour error compensation control scheme is proposed, which adopts arbitrary proportion error distribution method. Moreover, BP neural network is applied in this method to determine the arbitrary distribution coefficients. Compared with the simulation results of the existing same coefficient error distribution method and proportion error distribution method, a satisfying result is obtained by applying the proposed scheme.
