Abstract :
OPC(OLE for Process Control),which is application of Microsoft\´s OLE technology in process control system, provides a unified standard for the development in industrial automation software. The paper discusses the monitoring system base on OPC, in order to make system integration easier with advanced computer software technology, resolve the problem that transfer protocols are different between equipments. The paper analyze and design the control system in the thermal power station. We summarize the hierarchy structural as "2+3" mode. The monitoring system adopts the tree topology consisting of stars. Remote monitoring system is an integrated system which is composed of two-tier subsystems of on-line monitoring system and remote monitoring system, so it can keep the quite friendly human-computer interface, the well extensibility and maintainability. Finally,on the basis of analyzing data interaction of the system, this paper raises the framework of monitoring system based on OPC, gives implementation of some modules including OPC module and communication module.
