Abstract
The “equivalent cable bundle method” [1]-[2], able to highly reduce the complexity of complex cable networks in numerical modelling, is applied in this paper on cable bundles in presence of complex ground structures. In this case, a fictitious perfectly conducting ground plane is considered instead the real ground structure during the method process. The use of the method appears as a relevant solution for the modelling of real industrial cable networks when the multiconductor transmission line theory is not applicable and full-wave modellings of the real cable network are not possible for computation time reasons.
