  • Abstract
    In this paper, we reports both a high transfer rate and a high track density in helical-scan tape systems was made possible by using a multi-channel writing head and a multi-channel reading GMR head. Using these heads we confirmed the feasibility of high transfer-rate tape system with track density over 10 KTPI.
