Abstract :
In this article structural aspects of two different vision systems were described. The systems automatically measures respectively: surface properties of metals and yarn hairiness. Despite of so different fields of science there are common stages in all these measurements processes. Having this in mind, in the article authors defined main stages of the considered´ measurement processes including image acquisition, image enhancement, image segmentation and image analysis.
