Abstract :
In this paper, a tracking method is proposed for calculating the critical point of voltage collapse of a power system. The new method has very promising numerical convergence characteristics and is easy to implement. It can provide arbitrary accuracy and can be applied for any load growth pattern. Its theoretical basis and some numerical examples are given in this context to demonstrate the effectiveness.<>
