Abstract
The authors present and discuss the possible alternatives of future bulk power transmissions to meet the Chinese state policy of "Transmitting Power from West to East" with a synthetical consideration both of large transmitting power from the giant energy resources and the new technical progress in the next century, taking Southwest hydropower resources as an example.<>
