Abstract :
In this paper, we reports the media characteristics with CrMoB UL and the performance improvements compared with CrMo UL. Media with CrMoB UL has about 300 Oe lower remanent coercivity (H/sub er/) and about 0.4 dB higher isolated signal-to-noise ratio (S/sub o//N/sub m/). It can be concluded that CrMoB has better performance than CrMo as media UL.
