Abstract
The interfering system detection and mitigation techniques are important topics for spectrum sharing among various radio systems. And also the interfering band estimation technique in shared wide frequency band is significant to help the interference mitigation technique. In this paper, an interfering band estimation technique is proposed. In order to detect the interfering band, the multi-band pulse consisted of the several sub-band pulses are proposed. The sub-band pulses are Gaussian enveloped pulses with different frequency sinusoidal wave. The received signal is correlated with the sub-band pulses and the interfering band is estimated from correlation values by proposed two kinds of schemes that are realizing higher estimation performance and a simpler structure. The performances are evaluated to show the effectiveness by the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The proposed estimation technique is simpler structure and it is achieved detecting better performance than the ordinary technique using FFT depending on the conditions.
