            Abstract : 
We briefly present, first, a simple approach to derive linguistic data summaries of a set of data exemplified by “most sales are with a low commission”. The approach is based on fuzzy logic with linguistic quantifiers. Then, we implement such linguistic summaries via a fuzzy querying interface to a database. We use a genetic algorithm for searching the database. We present an application for deriving relevant relations concerning sales data at a computer retailer
