Abstract :
The absorption-emission spectra of the CdSe quantum dots (QDs) about 3.0-nm diameter and CdSe/ZnS QDs about 3.9-nm diameter are measured. The peak value of the absorption cross-section of CdSe and CdSe/ZnS QDs is determined by Beer-Lambert law according to the sample concentrations and the diameters of the QDs. A comparative study of spectral characteristics of CdSe and CdSe/ZnS QDs is showed in this paper.
