Abstract :
An estimate of the average delay experienced by data bits transported through randomly distributed nodes forming a multi-hop wireless network is presented, as an order of the number of nodes in the network. It is seen that the expected asymptotic delay observed per bit, from a source to a destination node, essentially averages to the order of O (√n), for n nodes in the network.
