Abstract
In this paper, we propose two novel zeroth-order resonators based on the structure of a super wide bandpass filter. The filter is based on the composite right/left-handed (CRLH) structure. A balance from the left-handed condition to the right-handed condition yields the ultra wideband. One of the characteristics of CRLH is that beta can be zero at non-zero frequency. This property can be used to create the zeroth-order resonators. An open and a shorted zeroth-order resonators are designed and simulated respectively in this paper.
