Abstract
For the analysis of remote sensing images standard image processing functions, stored in a library are required to be applied in various sequences for a given number of times. More often the functions are grouped in automated robust algorithms. However, modifications are required to the algorithm from time to time. In this paper an image processing environment which supports visual programming through the use of object oriented techniques and a data (or file) management scheme is discussed. The system architecture encompasses an user interface, a set of image processing functions and mathematical procedures stored in a database module, an execution, and a file management module
