Abstract :
This paper proposes an approach for the soft-decision in the coded multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) iterative receiver. A quadratic cost function approximation for the maximum a-posteriori (MAP) detection is considered to apply the computationally efficient sphere decoding (SD) method and a numerically stable approach for the soft-decision is proposed.
