Abstract
This is a summary of the presentation in the panel session on the value of conventional generation resources in ISO/RTO markets with the penetration of intermittent renewable resources for the 2012 PES General Meeting. This presentation will discuss the challenges of integrating intermittent renewable resources in the California ISO (CAISO). It will also provide recommendations for how California can meet these challenges.
